As a N4 administrator, you will learn how to:
Configure Quay Commander privileges (on page 1)
As a vessel planner, you will learn how to:
Initialize (on page 1), develop (on page 1), and review (on page 1) the crane plan.
Manage work shifts:
Project and resolve potential crane interference (on page 1) (crane bumps).
Plan critical cargo to make a train or another ship.
Schedule reefer unplugging before a predicted move, but not too early. You can view which queues contain reefer containers and hold off activating those queues until they become current.
Avoid work slowdowns or stoppages due to chassis and yard slot burn, traffic in the yard, and labor scheduling constraints.
Add planned activities to work queues (on page 1) and crane shifts (on page 1), including hatch cover moves, break-bulk moves, and shift breaks
Review the final crane plan (on page 1) using lists, recaps, and windows.
Print reports (on page 1) for your records, obtaining a variety of statistics per shift, crane, and ship.
